Allen "Rocks" the House
This has been an exciting year in curling; not only is Canada on a winning streak at the World Championships (7-0!), but both our boys' and girls' competitive curling teams made it to OFSAA.
After winning 3 of their 5 games in the TCDAA tournament for another year in a row, the boys made it to OFSAA, shooting, sliding, sweeping and giving it their all. And after winning 2 of 3 games in TCDAA for the first time ever, the girls' competitive team made it to OFSAA too! The girls swept away the competition and achieved bronze overall, winning 5 out of 7 of their games and also placed second, (first in their pool) when drawing to the button.
Even before OFSAA, the teams were killing it. Both teams moved on from their first tournament, Gore Zones to Gore Regionals. At Regionals, both teams played phenomenally; the girls and boys teams winning Gold and Bronze respectively.
In addition to the success of both competitive teams, the recreational curling teams “rocked the house” in their most recent tournament, winning first and second place. Congratulations to James Ty and Kaylie Lau on their spectacular final year and to all the curlers and their coach Mr. Song for this fantastic season and all their hard work.
