Volunteer Opportunities
Hey Bishop Allen!
Are you still looking for your community service hours? Don’t know where to start? Here are some great ways to get them all done.
For a one-time volunteer event, you can easily get involved. The Project Red Ribbon is an event to raise awareness about drunk driving. They are looking for volunteers to collect donations and hand out ribbons at their assigned TTC stations. The Annual Gift Wrap Fundraising event is looking for volunteers to wrap gifts in exchange for volunteer hours at the Cloverdale Mall. Bishop Allen’s SCOPE group is looking for more volunteers to help out with the upcoming Festive Dinner event that they hold annually. The volunteers would be asked to serve, cook, set-up and clean up on the night of the event.
For those of you who are looking for on-going volunteer jobs, there are a few options shown here. One of which is the Etobicoke Humane Society. If you are not allergic to cats or dogs, and want to volunteer and work with them, this is the job for you! If you love to read and enjoy socializing, the Youth Advisory Group at the Brentwood Library might be the best option to look into.
